Our 38th Garden Walk - February 17

“Celebrate Island Gardens”

The Garden Club of the Upper Keys cordially invites everyone interested in gardening and landscape design in the Florida Keys to tour our "Celebrate Island Gardens" in Key Largo and Tavernier during Garden Walk 2018 on Saturday, Feb. 17, rain or shine.

We are grateful to our property owners for sharing their beautiful island garden styles, all located between mile markers 89 to 100:

  • Bayfront Hammock, with the best of natural natives winding along the shore and artfully designed specimen beds, is a dramatic and uplifting creation.
  • Sunfish Circle celebrates a masterful design of dock, swimming pool and carefully constructed planting beds. Signature specimens and smooth stone cover creates a low maintenance but refined tropical serenity.
  • Coconut Harbor, a pair of bay front lodgings, will take more time to explore. From the sandy beach to the turquoise waters of Sunset Cover to the high hammock trees at the gates to the property, decades of planting and tending will bring pleasure and peace in large measure.
  • The owner of Artists Trail is a prolific artist and in addition to an abundance of stag horn fern hanging from the native gumbo limbos, the artifacts intermingled give the visitor repeated joys and surprises.  A variety of seldom seen palms and large established beds of tropical favorites will make this a memorable stop.
  • Palm Corner, with its extra-large lot, is a masterpiece with a superb collection of palms and stunning coral rock lantern posts
