Upcoming Events

MAR 16, 2021 @ 11 AM via ZOOM

General Membership Meeting, featuring Michelle Leonard-Mularz, Environmental Horticulture Agent for UF/IFAS and complimentary club member.  Michelle will present “Backyard Bugs: The Good and the Bad”.

Bugs, those pesty, creepy, crawly or flying little creatures in my garden! Did you ever wonder what to do about them? If you join our March 16, 2021 General Membership meeting at 11:00 AM on Zoom.com, you will have the opportunity to find out. Michelle will help us to identify common bugs in our Keys’ gardens. She will show us how to recognize bugs we want to encourage and methods to increase their population. Conversely, she will show us those that are not good for the health of our plants and methods to decrease their population.

You can invite non-members to the Zoom lecture.  If interested, non-members can e-mail, no later than Sunday evening March 14 to:   programdirector@gardenclubupperkeys.org to be sent a link to the meeting.

Garden Walk 2021 Cancellation

Due to the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19, the Garden Club has found it necessary to cancel Garden Walk 2021.  We will miss our friends and guests touring our beautiful island gardens but feel it is necessary to err on the side of caution and safety for all involved.  We anticipate resuming our Garden Walk tradition in 2022 and hope to see you then.
